DVD distribution into international markets requires some understanding of what sells in what territories along with a healthy dose of contacts in those territories, as the best job is generally done by locals, in each country.

Of course it is possible to sell DVDs from a website internationally, but the shipping costs and customer service for packaged goods make this a little onerous for countries on far away continents, or the shipping will take a very very long time if you ship using cheaper methods, without tracking numbers.
